About Us

Christopher Diggles, LCSW, QCSW

I am a Pennsylvania Licensed Clinical Social Worker, acknowledged as a Qualified Clinical Social Worker through the National Association of Social Workers (QCSW), and attributed the status of Board Certified Diplomat in clinical social work through The American Board of Social Work Examiners (BCD). In addition, I was honored with a "CASSP" award administered by the Montgomery County Office of Mental Health for outstanding service to children and adolescents and their surrounding communities.

My areas of specialty include: working with children and teens suffering from abuse, children and teens experiencing emotional and behavioral problems, and children and teens with academic/educational concerns. I also have extensive experience working with developmentally delayed children and teens, including children and teens with mental retardation and autism spectrum disorders. I use a cognitive-behavioral approach in both direct intervention and working with parents of children/teens with special needs including: Behavioral/Cognitive approaches to skill acquisition and skill building; Psycho-educational parenting strategies toward improved outcomes for children with delays; IEP planning for both early intervention and transition to school age; and helping to access multidisciplinary community supports and strategies to improve use of these supports toward effective team planning and intervention.

I am a firm believer of including parents in the treatment process from the beginning of treatment to closure. I take a hands-on approach with discussion of issues and concerns with parents and other professionals (upon parental request), modeling of behavioral and cognitive approaches with movement to a coaching role as parents familiarize themselves in treatment approaches.
